Abstract: The methods of clothing extant during a period of time usually reflect upon the ethos of the society of that time. With this germ of idea as the focus, the current study attempts look into times of the Vișṇudharmottarapurāṇa. It strives to discover and unearth interesting patterns hidden in the hues and shades of the attire and in the clothing styles.
