Viṣṇu, the ultimate reality as reflected in the GaruḍapurᾹṇa

Abstract: The Garuḍapurāṇa is one of the prominent Vaiṣṇava Purāṇas and is enumerated in the list of Sāttvika Purāṇas. It takes its name as Garuḍapurāṇa from mythical bird Garuḍa, the king of the birds as well as the mount of Lord Viṣṇu. Being encyclopaedic in nature this Puraṇa discusses manifold topics. However, the present paper proposes to expound and examine the nature of the Absolute Reality of the Universe as revealed in the Garuḍapurāṇa.
